VOX POPS
Prior to recording our long-form oral history interviews with sporting figures in East London, we journeyed into the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford to collect a series of Vox Pops (short interview segments filmed with members of the public), gauging opinions on the park, the Olympics and sport in the local area.

LEARNING RESOURCES
As well as collecting and preserving the memories of those with deep roots in Newham's sporting community, Talking Sport also aimed to inspire local young people in Newham to think about their own memories and how the area in which they live has shaped their personal experiences through oral history activities. The workshops served the dual purpose both of reflection on one's own heritage as well as providing basic oral history skills. Below are a selection of resources we used in our workshops for you to utilise with your own group; including a session plan and materials to accompany it (click on each image to download).
